Wes Streeting for Ilford North
It was great to welcome London’s Deputy Mayor for Housing Tom Copley to Barkingside this week to see progress on 98 new homes for social rent being built at the Barkingside Yard.
The homes are being built on Transport for London land by a partnership of Places for London, Peabody and Vistry.
When they’re finished, not only will there be 98 genuinely affordable homes for Redbridge families, the changes to the public realm will make Barkingside station feel a lot safer for commuters – especially at night.
