This year World Cancer Day had extra significance for me. Having come through my own cancer diagnosis last year, I wanted to reflect on the fantastic cancer care the NHS provides, but also on the difficulties it faces.

I was also proud to wear my Unity Band to celebrate 20 years of Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work alongside MPs from across the house.
