This year World Cancer Day had extra significance for me. Having come through my own cancer diagnosis last year, I wanted to reflect on the fantastic cancer care the NHS provides, but also on the difficulties it faces.
I wrote in the Mirror about my own experiences with cancer, and about being one of the one million people waiting for cancer related tests and scans. You can read the whole article here.
I was also proud to wear my Unity Band to celebrate 20 years of Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work alongside MPs from across the house.
