I’m delighted to have been promoted by Keir Starmer to be The Labour Party’s Shadow Health & Social Care Secretary. This year the NHS saved my life and staff across health and social care are getting us through the worst pandemic in living memory. Labour created the NHS and together we’ll make it fit for the future.

Huge thanks to Jonathan Ashworth – Labour’s longest serving Shadow Health Secretary – who has been relentless during the pandemic and left huge shoes to fill. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in!
