Five years ago, I delivered my maiden speech.
The fundamental argument I made was about the kind of country we want to leave to children growing up in Britain today and the need for the U.K. to look to the world with optimism, confident and leadership.
I believe that everything I spoke about is just as relevant today as it was this time five years ago.
