I had the great pleasure and privilege of welcoming the UK Youth Parliament to their annual sitting in the UK House of Commons this year.
I particularly enjoyed following one of our very own Members of the Youth Parliament, Ali Raja MYP, who delivered a great speech to mark the centenary of the Armistice that led to the end of the First World War. He did us proud!
I’ve been a long-standing supporting of the UKYP. I find it inspiring that, in an age of so much cynicism about politics, so many young people want to be make a difference to our country through politics.
I particularly want to thank Ali and Kishan Sharma MYP, our other Redbridge MYP, for doing such a great job.
