Yesterday pupils at Avanti Court primary school in Barkingside came to visit Parliament! They had a great time touring the Palace of Westminster and I enjoyed listening to them recite a wide range of facts they’d learned on their way around the House of Commons and House of Lords.

Following their tour, we had a Q&A where I was incredibly impressed by their depth of knowledge on a range of issues, including climate change, deforestation, crime and anti-social behaviour and other current topics.

As ever, the pupils at Avanti Court were impeccably behaved and a credit to our community.
