On Friday I really enjoyed zooming simultaneously into primary schools across Redbridge to talk about my work as your local MP and to hear from young people about what they love about Redbridge and what they’d like to change.

It was a really inspiring conversation. Like me, they’re proud of our parks and open spaces, proud to live in a Borough with people from different backgrounds and faiths and they repeatedly mentioned friendship and kindness.

On what we need to improve, homelessness, litter, air quality and crime were all recurring themes and Little Heath pupils made a powerful case for more accessible transport and access to jobs.

School visits are one of my favourite parts of the job.
