Wes visits France as part of cross-party delegation against antisemitism

Wes has taken part in a delegation to France to look at lessons we can learn in the fight against antisemitism.

The delegation was organised by the All-Party Parliamentary Group Against Antisemitism, of which Wes is a vice chair, and included Conservative MP Sir Eric Pickles, Labour MP Tulip Siddiq and Green Party Peer Baroness Jones.

They met with local and national government representatives, Jewish community organisations, senior police officers and educators.

Wes and Tulip Siddiq have written a joint article for the Jewish Chronicle about the lessons they learned, which you can read here

Wes says: "Antisemitism is sadly alive and kicking in the UK and in France even resulted in a spate of violent attacks, including the murders at the Parisian supermarket, which shocked the world. It's vital that we learn lessons and do all we can to stamp out the scourge of antisemitism at home and abroad.

"This was an incredibly valuable cross-party visit lasting two days."

No public money was spent on the trip.
