Wes Streeting Re-elected as Vice Chair of All Party Group for Tamils

I was delighted to have been re-elected as a vice chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Tamils yesterday evening.

Since becoming involved in the group I've been to the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva twice to support Tamil delegations, spoken at a number of events and held an adjournment debate in the House of Commons. At each occasion I've found the support, kindness and dedication of the Tamil community a real testament to their desire to not only make a success of their lives here in Britain, but also for peace at home in Sri Lanka.

I'm looking forward to the year ahead where I will continue to raise the important issues of human rights in Sri Lanka and push for truth, justice and reconciliation.
