Wes launches pop-up business hub

The Enterprise Exchange is a pop-up business hub offering a four week programme of business support to help new businesses to start-up and succeed in Redbridge.

Based in the Ilford Exchange on the 3rd floor, over the next four weeks the pop-up hub will provide a range of support, including opportunities for one-to-one advice and mentoring, talks, workshops and networking events. The initiative will run until 29 October in Ilford Exchange. Wes launched the event in his capacity as Deputy Leader of the Council at an event in the Exchange this evening.

Partners include Redbridge Council, Redbridge Chamber of Commerce, Vision, Redbridge College, Redbridge Institute of Adult Education, Sophia Hubs and a whole host of businesses across the borough.

Wes Streeting said: "We know that Redbridge is one of the best places to start a business, but we also know that too many businesses are failing because they don't receive the support they need during the early stages of their development. It's fantastic to see so many partners coming on board to support the initiative. If it proves successful, we'll need to look at how we keep it going to support businesses on an ongoing basis.

"Ilford North has thousands of small to medium sized enterprises in operation. I want this to be a place where entrepreneurs can get started and businesses can thrive."
