Wes joins Oaks Park School for sixth form bricklaying ceremony

Work is underway at Oaks Park High School on a new sixth form block, which will include new studio space and classrooms for pupils throughout the school.

Wes joined Cllr Elaine Norman, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, staff, pupils and governors at a ceremony to mark the laying of the first bricks for the new sixth form block. The new facility will include a new drama studio, science labs and sixth form accommodation.

Oaks Park is in Aldborough Ward, which Wes represents on the Council as a local resident.

Wes said: "It was great to be at Oaks Park to mark the beginning of this exciting new phase of the school's development. The new sixth form accommodation will provide first class facilities for pupils at the school."

Redbridge's Labour Council is committed to expanding school places to meet growing demand in the borough. A Labour government will prioritise spending on new school places in places of greatest need, like Redbridge.
