Support for a National Sikh War Memorial

Last night I joined a well-attended event in the UK House of Commons to support The National Sikh War Memorial Trust in their mission to have a fitting memorial for all those Sikhs who gave their service to freedom and liberty when they fought for our country in the two world wars.

The event was hosted by Tan Dhesi for Slough and we were joined by Speaker John Bercow, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, leading figures from each of the main parties and Jas Athwal - Leader of Redbridge Council.

A huge amount of money has already been made. Let's hope that we hit the target so that we have a lasting monument to the service and sacrifice of Sikhs in our armed forces.

For all my Sikh readers:

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਹਿ
