Labour's General Election Chief Hits the Streets with Wes Streeting

Douglas Alexander, chair of Labour's General Election Campaign, hit the streets of Barkingside this morning with Labour's Parliamentary Candidate Wes Streeting.

The pair were joined by Ilford South MP Mike Gapes, Labour Group Leader Cllr Jas Athwal and other Labour activists.

Wes Streeting said: "It was great to have Douglas Alexander with us this morning. I used the opportunity to raise concerns that people have locally about burglary, the future of services at King George Hospital and the rising cost of housing in Ilford North.

"As the MP for Ilford North, I'll make sure that leading politicians regularly visit our community so that government policies address the key issues that people raise with me on the doorstep."
